Location of the town of Oshakati 		Oshakati

Oshakati is a city populated mainly by the Ovambo people, located in northern Namibia and is the capital of the Oshana region.
The city is located on Route C46, 35 km Northwest of Ondangwa.
Founded in 1966, Oshakati has about 30,000 inhabitants and is the largest city Ovamboland .

Oshakati was a strong develloppement, it has several schools, three large shopping centers with shops and even a football team, Oshakati City FC.

Oshakati is not a very tourist city but the opening of a new entrance north of Etosha ( King Nehale Gate) , perhaps reverse the trend.
