Gobabis is situated on the road between Windhoek B6 (200km) and the border post Buitepos (200km) to reach South Africa via Botswana (trans-Kalahari) .
Buitepos the border post is open from 7:00 a.m. to 0:00.
Gobabis is also connected to the railway network in Namibia.
But the train from the capital Windhoek four times a week does more passengers.
The nearest airport is located in Windhoek, Eros Airport 194 km east of Gobabis.
