The Lutheran Church Christuskirche
Avenue located in the same, it dominates the city center. Its construction dates from the early twentieth century and lasted three years.
Visit museums
- Alte Feste Museum State Museum dedicated to the independence of Namibia and the Namibian rock paintings and engravings.
- Owel Museum : Museum devoted to culture and traditional way of life in Namibia and animal species protected by the Namibian government.
- TransNamib Transport Museum dedicated to the history of the railway Namibian.
Walk in downtown
Independence Avenue and Post Street Mall are the two main tourist and commercial arteries of the capital.
Close to Windhoek :
Daan Viljoen Game Reserve
Hsueh 24km west of Windhoek in the Khomas Hochland the rugged mountains, the park is an ideal place for walking.
Oryx, Kudu, Wildebeest, Zebra ... and a large variety of birds live in freedom.
The park entrance will cost N$ 40 per person and is open all year.
Cuno Hoffmeister Observatory
Located 15km south of Windhoek, the observatory is located in the mountains Auas.
He is considered one of the best observing sites in the vault of heaven.
Wildlife Impressions
A 4km from Windhoek on Sam Nujoma Drive towards the airport is a large complex dedicated to reptiles, birds and wildlife.
Goreangab Dam
Located 11km north-west of Windhoek, is an artificial lake in a green setting.
We practice the dipping, water sports, picnics etc. ...
The park is open all year round.
