Nestled in the heart of Kaokoland, the village of Purros is ideal for exploring the country Himba.

Squeleton Coast Park

The Squeleton Coast is only about thirty kilometers west of Purros, but access is very difficult.
The park stretches from the Kunene River to the river Ugab (approximately 500 km).
The landscape includes sand dunes, canyons and mountains.
This coast is also famous for its many shipwrecks, the must is a flight over the coast remained wild.
A permit to travel in this area is required, and costs N$ 80 per person and N$ 10 per vehicle.
